Problem with DAT Autoloader?

This translates to NOT READY (code 2) and MEDIUM NOT PRESENT.

This is puzzling because the drive finds a medium error (which can be
nearly anything that causes problems in read after write, not necessarily
the medium) but you did not have problems when using the tapes separately.

P.S. The kernel translates the sense data to text if you enable the
verbose SCSI messages in the kernel configuration.
