Perhaps you're right, but at the moment I still guess half of it, 1.4
is the correct value for a 4 diodes rectifier too. OTOH 1.5V voltage
loss by the diodes, as I mentioned, might be a half-truth. Often a
voltage loss of 0.35V - 0.7V is mentioned.
