            Bug ID: 243277
Summary: net/samba48: revert r520188 expiry due to unusable
                    net/samba410
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Many People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: timur at FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: prj at rootwyrm.com
          Assignee: timur at FreeBSD.org
             Flags: maintainer-feedback?(timur at FreeBSD.org)

To be absolutely clear, net/samba410 is an absolute mess and still not fit for
purpose. It cannot provision new domains, it frequently cannot join existing
domains, it just does not work. This has been known for a very long time as
well and not enough progress has been made.

Despite upstream discontinuing, forcing users onto net/samba410 is currently
worse than having net/samba48 available.
