Hi all,
I looked through ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ls-lR.gz
There are binary packages for 8.1 & some earlier, but not for 8.2-RELEASE

/pub/FreeBSD/ports/
	i386/ amd64/
	packages-8.1-release/All/openoffice.org-2.4.3_2.tbz

(If anyone has built newer, I'd suggest you offer to upload)

I downloaded them, installing them to try.
(though I hate to install non self compiled binaries),
& I suppose on 8.2 src/ based I'll possibly need some compat.

(BTW for last couple of weeks I've been trying any number of make
variants of open office 2, 3, -devel for ports/ release & current
& for i386 & amd64, & in chroots etc. Nothing bult completely so far.

Currently trying to make /usr/ports/editors/libreoffice which also
breaks, but has better error reports than openoffice.

Cheers,
Julian
