What does the WITH_KDE=yes actually do currently?

ooo-2.0.2 on kunbutu is actually the ooo-build. we have also editors/ooo-build
port. btw: afaik debian, gentoo, mandrake, suse linux uses ooo-build instead
of the vanilla one. could you please try this one?
