Xorg config problem

hello , i installed xorg under freebsd 5.3 release and i have a problem.
when i try to test the xorg config  under /root/xorg.conf.new the Xterminal 
work but when copying  the config to /etc/x11/xorg.conf i have a blank black 
screen when i type startx .
i have ati radeon 9600 with kde3
