thinkpad t30 console support 800x600 resolution?

hi,folks:
  can t30's video's card support 800x600 resolution or where's my wrong
config?
on my FBSD4.8R , it always said:
vidcontrol: cannot active raster display Inappropriate ioctl for device --
my kernel had been set below two lines
options         VESA
options                SC_PIXEL_MODE
and my /etc/rc.conf
allscreens_flags="-g 100x37 VESA_800x600"
