Confusing smartd messages

Actually, the smartctl -t long has not finished yet ("10% of test
remaining"), so smartctl -a has no additional details yet.  Stay
tuned!

smartctl -x says there have been 210 errors over the life of the
device, which appears to be 39,311 hours.  The last 24 are clearly
within the last day, presumably as a result of the smartctl -t long,
and they also generated a pile of log messages.

I think it's time to replace the drive.  Many thanks for all the
