Why wait for decision of gnome@? This library is part of Xfce, not GNOME.

API documentation can be viewable with devel/devhelp. And files must be installed into gtk-doc/html/ directory (see, Devhelp's README, https://git.gnome.org/browse/devhelp/tree/README?id=3.12.1#n12
