The linux fontconfig and freetype libraries we use are older than
those we use in FreeBSD native. So any differences between our native
libs and the linux libs are set in stone... more or less. If you find
newer libs which work with FC4 feel free to send patches (or at least
pointers).

Any differences in the build-time configuration of the libs (e.g.,
bytecode interpreter in freetype) are also not something we can change.

Apart from this we try to use the FreeBSD native font configuration
files, so if you find some which aren't reused (either by using a
symlink or by "fall-through" to native ones), please tell us about it.

Bye,
Alexander.
