Thanks for your suggestion, and I'm sorry it's been around a while.

We have portscout, which automatically alerts port maintainers if a new version
of a port is out upstream, and the maintainer can then have a look.

Failing that, the search function already has the maintainer's email address,
so the user can easily just click that and send an email.
