FreeBSD 5.3 installation on Asus K8V-D impossible?

Can you try the 5.3-STABLE snapshot at
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/Feb_2005/

And also try the first 5.4 snapshot which should come out in about 2 weeks?
