AHA-2940 not working

   Hi all,

   My Adaptec AIC-7871 (AHA-2940) doesn't work in Linux 2.0.31 (tried
former kernels as well. The OS detects it, detects attached devices, but
after some time (10-20 seconds) using them it breaks with SCSI timeouts
and SCSI bus resets. I have tried it with disks and a tape drive - it's
the same. Has anyone idea what might be wrong? I have checked all the
stuff like SCSI bus termination, SCSI controller settings etc. to no
avail.
