https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=259746 Bug ID: 259746 Summary: lang/ruby31: Add new port Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any URL: https://www.ruby-lang.org/en/news/2021/11/09/ruby-3-1- 0-preview1-released/ OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: yasu@freebsd.org CC: ruby@FreeBSD.org Created attachment 229402 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=229402&action=edit Patch file Add preview1 of Ruby 3.3 series. To handle pre-release version, Mk/bsd.ruby.mk is changed as following. * New variable RUBY_DISTVERSION is introduced and the value is set correcponding to each standard ruby port in ports tree. * The value of RUBY_VERSION, RUBY_PORTVERSION, RUBY_WRKSRC and RUBY_DISTNAME is set by using that of RUBY_DISTVERSION These changes are unnecessary after this port is updated to final release of 3.1.0. But I would like to keep them as they will be required again when we add pre-release version of Ruby 3.2 to ports tree.
