Thanks for the heads-up, Lexi! I read through the thread and some people 
even seem to think the issue is solved. But I know where I'll send info, 
should I run into this problem too.

I went for the Pi because I had that "lying around" :-) and not doing 
anything else ATM. I don't really want to spend any money on this. If it 
just refuses to run in an acceptable way, I may have to go back to Linux 
again. I chose FreeBSD because I have been using it for two decades now 
on servers and for a while on my desktop. I'll see how it goes and give 
you a feedback if you like.
