On the other hand, if you just want to use the system's
mailer to run a "TLS relay", it is not needed to install
and configure a full 3rd party mail server - initially
sendmail does serve here quite well. On the other hand,
can dma do this? I'm not really asking, instead I would
install sendmail from ports if I needed that kind of
software. But replacing one thing with another thing
that cannot fully do what its decades-old predecessor
could do just feels... strange, like the transition
from sc to vt for the "text mode" terminal system...

Still it is good to see a complex software being
replaced with something simpler, it's easier to 
maintain it and to address bugs and security holes.
At least that's the idea behind it.
