Good question, I spotted 3 other ports doing it exactly like that.
Which have to admit I'm not 100% sure why,
but I think $name is defined twice in the main script because the 2nd one is
for multiple instances.

I tried without that (such as you suggested) but that failed in my 14.2
environtment (and dnsdist failed identical), when not haveing $name.
