You could have reacted 2 months ago based on the fact that I did provide you
with a probable patch to your issue within the hour of your issue being opened?
 Just maybe someone could have been pinged to ask for inclusion in a new pkg
release, but that time is lost now either way.

OPNsense hit the same issue back in July.
