No, your patch is not pointless.

I know that your patch was submitted one month ago, but we're in the review
of the complete handbook.

I'll try to use your patch in some parts of the review.

Sorry if you think that your work is not take in consideration, this is not
our idea.

My public apologies, as I said, I'll try to use your patch in some places.
Of course I'll mention you in the commit in these places.

About huge patches, please, create minor patches and put me as a reviewer.
