No, what I mean is, if your changes are merged to head/, I will likely
have to update the tools I am using to build snapshots to have special
cases for head/.

I have had to do this in the past, and since having release.sh in base,
have not had to do special case things, since everything has mostly been
in sync.

This creates more work for me, for benefits that are still not clear
from your changes.
