 Simply the maintainer wants more flexibility with options and there are too 
many files to handle with PLIST_FILES. I will defer to the maintainer unless I 
have a really good reason to make another descicion. Further, most of these 
PR's have languished for months with no comitters stepping up. That's 
inexcusable.
