I agree with you on this. Further, I would propose to include all EA
operations in a single utility, such as eaop(1) or attr(1). The latter is
used on Irix. I would suggest:
	eaop add kde-icon "~/.icons/app-icon.xpm" ~/myapps/*
	eaop ls ~/myapps/myprog

Doing this through the readdir() interface might be better.
