 From the moment I installed FreeBSD 11.3 in mid July 2019 until now other than
the bug #240804, which as a software bug and not a laptop issue, both
screensavers x11/xfce4-screensaver and x11/xscreensaver have worked just fine. 
That means there is no issue with this laptop with respect to ACPI and screen
saver, blanking, and power off display issues.  That very strongly suggests
this issue is not an issue for this laptop.
