I think, this problem came from revision r393663 [1]. After this revision, I
noticed others issues with some Xfce applications.

Could you post, your version of devel/glib20?

pkg query %v glib

Possible workaround, you can create .desktop file, calls nedit.desktop

[Desktop Entry]
Name=NEdit
Comment=Nirvana editor
Exec=nedit
Icon=accessories-text-editor
Terminal=false
StartupNotify=true
Type=Application
Categories=Utility;TextEditor;

Copy this this in /usr/local/share/applications/, then open Thunar, right click
on this file, go to Open With menu -> Create Launcher on the panel.

Don't create new item from generic launcher, only from .desktop file.
