Hi,

audio/xfce4-mixer works only with GStreamer 0.10. See commit log [1], why it was committed.

Upstream prefer to use PulseAudio, in Xfce devel repo there's new plugin (audio/xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin [2]) but it's not enough stable to be committed.
