OP certainly would have objected to closing PRs without fixing the problems,
but in this case the remaining two issues -- items 4 and 5 -- should be fixed
by the patch from 196678, so it would best for everyone if that patch would be
committed instead.

I'm actually very surprised 196678 is not yet committed. The last time I looked
at it, I was almost sure the Xorg team will take it in a few months, but 3
years later, and it's still up...
