Thanks for the report, I updated the wiki.
Regarding your problem with the Radeon HD 5000 GPU, I guess this laptop
uses AMD Hybrid Graphics technology (PowerXpress), where both GPUs share
the same set of output connectors. This kind of configuration isn't
supported by FreeBSD yet.

Does DPMS work otherwise (ie. the monitor is powered off after some idle
time)?

I'm afraid not: the driver tries all devices. We lack a tunable or
something to prevent the driver from attaching a specific device.
