sample config for enabling svideo output on radeon x700

i'm trying to enable svideo output on my notebook, but i faced the 
following problems:

1. after enabling svideo via pair of xrandr commands i get an image on 
tv, very dark image.

2. xv output seems to not work at all on svideo. just black screen. is 
this true?

X.org 7.3, xf86-video-ati-6.7.193 and xf86-video-ati-6.7.194.
