Xorg 7.2 breaking with startx

Hi,

I have started a thread over CURRENT on this but I think it is X11
related (please correct me if I'm wrong).

As I said, with a new config file, starx makes my machine freeze, with
the existing config file, it starts, flickers the screen once then
drops to the command prompt while giving that msk0 message on console.

What do you think I can do to help diagnose and resolve this?
