Release maintainership. I no longer use this port and my former
co-worker no longer maintains the upstream. Additionally he has
been unable to recruit someone to take over maintainership of the
upstream.

とあるので，サポートが打ち切られる理由はメンテナがいないこと
だということですねぇ．にしむらさん自身がメンテナになられるの
が一番良いと思います．
