I found same problem but with a virtual CD via IPMI. cd0 is detected after
mount root process so the system cannot boot automatically.
I found a workaround for this problem.
By setting kern.cam.scsi_delay="50000" in loader.conf . you may increase
or decrease this delay up to your problem.
I'm not sure if it works for your keyboard or not.
