This is maybe a SCSI problem.

If you install the new USB stack [the SVN version], see:

http://www.turbocat.net/~hselasky/usb4bsd

Then try to copy some files and turn on debugging:

sysctl hw.usb.umass.debug=-1

You might get a lot of messages. Look for errors.
