Thanks for the pointer (PR 232463 was already mentioned in private
communications).
As I said above, there is a symlink in /dev. But geom eli is not aware of any
aliases/links which breaks EBR eli entries in /etc/fstab.
After reading the summary of D24939, I'm not sure if this behavior is
intentional.
