nocona is definitely supported by base gcc in RELENG_6_3 and is listed 
in the gcc manpage :

            nocona
                Improved version of Intel Pentium4 CPU with 64-bit 
                    extensions, MMX, SSE, SSE2 and SSE3 instruction set 
support.

I have it in my /etc/make.conf for 6.3-REL/amd64 and it works a charm.
