CPUTYPE weirdness

Ok ... minor follow up.
I found one way to "resolve" this problem, which consists of
besides /etc/src.conf also creating an /etc/make.conf that contains a
single "CPUTYPE ?= core2".

Why this seems to be necessary i don't quite understand yet though.
