GDM 2 cannot be started from /etc/ttys (as the pkg-message states).  You
need to copy this script to /usr/X11R6/etc/rc.d/gdm.sh, then run:

/usr/X11R6/etc/rc.d/gdm.sh start

This will happen automatically at boot time.
