I just updated to the latest -STABLE:
FreeBSD copernicus.clarkeadvertising.com 4.8-STABLE FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE
#19: Thu Jul 3 22:32:00 EDT 2003
And now my DLT tape drive shows up as a CD-ROM. Previously on:
FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE #18: Mon May 26 13:41:28 EDT 2003
I saw:
sa0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 4 lun 0
sa0: <BNCHMARK DLT1 3E20> Removable Sequential Access SCSI-2 device
sa0: 20.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 15, 16bit)
Now I see:
cd0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 4 lun 0
cd0: <BNCHMARK DLT1 5032> Removable CD-ROM SCSI-2 device
cd0: 20.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 15, 16bit)
cd0: cd present [307201 x 2048 byte records]
Any ideas? The device was working properly with backups regularly
succeeding.
Joe
