1. Install FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE
2. pkg_add
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-4-stable/security/freebsd-update-1.3.tgz
3. mv /usr/local/etc/freebsd-update.conf.sample
/usr/local/etc/freebsd-update.conf
4. /usr/local/sbin/freebsd-update fetch
5. /usr/local/sbin/freebsd-update install
(Ok, dumb question: Why is my pkg_message not part of the package on
ftp.freebsd.org? It works when I `make package` locally.)
