bootstrapping vinum root

On Mon, Aug 04, 2003 at 04:32:22PM -0400 I heard the voice of
David Gilbert, and lo! it spake thus:

You can probably make this easier by mounting the new /usr and /var on
/usr-new and /var-new to do the file transfers; then you don't need to
LD_LIBRARY_PATH fiddle.
