Optimize compiling for Sun Enterprise 250

Hello.

I would to know if there are any flags to optimize performance and compiling
time (prior the first one). 

I've found:

-mcpu=v9 and mcpu=ultrasparc, are these flags better than default? Which of
two ones for this machine (ultrasparc II)?

-mtune=ultrasparc

-pthreads

And in other site:

CHOST=”sparc64-unknown-linux-gnu”
CFLAGS=”-O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer”
CXXFLAGS=”-O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer”

Which do you use or do you recommended? I am looking for some good
configuration without problems.
