Put hw.ata.ata_dma=0 to /etc/sysctl.conf.
Nothing changed.

Also, seems that this parameter does not exist:

root at spitfire:/home/hark # sysctl hw.ata.ada_dma
sysctl: unknown oid 'hw.ata.ada_dma'
