LSI supported mps(4) driver available

Hi,

on my system is still running the actual stable version 9 from 28.01.2012. I
try to use the patch for the mps driver with the patch-command and got some
errors in specific points. Is there anything i have to do before i use the
patch?
Is there anybody who use this patch successfully?
It is possible to get the new LSI mps driver from the stable source into the
next two weeks?
