 I'm having the same problem.
 The windows XP initiator works perfectly but iscsi_initiator does not.
 
 The initiator system is:
 FreeBSD fbsd.localdomain 8.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE #0: Fri Jun 10
