need raid controler ...

Hi,
I did it somewhat differently, ie compiled a kernel with
the new driver, and booted over the net.
so far the raid is very fast (though i only tested it with two 36g disks)
Any idea what to use for managing the raid? I'm only interested
in detecting if a disk is bad in a raid1.
