Hi.

Check the root_disk_unit and rootdev= options in /boot/defaults/loader.conf 

Bootloader is not aware of your root partition residing on a different disk.
You can also reinstall MBR, man boot0cfg should help.
You can also do the same with /stand/sysinstall
