Can Adaptec AIC-7902 do RAID-5?

The RAID-0 and RAID-1 support (and RAID-10) is done in software.  The BIOS
on the -R cards understands RAID metadata and can boot from a RAID array.
After that, you need support for Adaptec RAID metadata from your OS
software RAID stack.

If you've seen RAID-5 numbers, they were from a software RAID stack.
