Hi,

    There's a aacli like (?) utility for freebsd. It's right at Intel
web site, but NOT on the bundled CDROM :p

    You'll have a package called iir-1.1.tgz inside the FreeBSD_212.zip.
I did not tend to just `pkg_add iir-1.1.tgz`, because it will install
intel's iir.ko, which is for 4.1. Just extract the storcon binary and issue
`cd /dev; mknod iir c 164 0` is ok. The mknod is "documented" in the
+POST-INSTALL file of the package.

    I'll spend some time to understand another utility called srcd, in
order to make a asr-util like port.
