debug message spammed to all users

Version: FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE

For some strange reason the message

 "<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Dump Card State Ends >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>"

gets spammed to all users because it is flagged as <kern.emerg> !

I briefly looked at aic7xxx.c and the only thing that is different is that
the above message starts with a \n which can be seen below as the blank
kernel message line. Any ideas other than replacing the ancient 2gig
<QUANTUM FIREBALL_TM2110S 300X> disks in the box?
