Status of project: launchd

Hopefully it has died a short but painful death.  Launchd is an 
abomination that should never have seen the light of day.

If you really need something like this for FreeBSD (and you don't), you 
would be better off bringing over Solaris' System Management Framework 
(SMF).  But first, tell us what you can't do with the existing rc.d 
framework and a couple of shell scripts.
