Thanks for taking the time to respond.

mixer -f /dev/mixer2
Mixer vol      is currently set to 100:100
Mixer pcm      is currently set to 100:100

Also, I am booting KDE Neon 5.21, Kubuntu 20.10 and Mint 20.1 Cinnamon on this 
machine.  On those, ONLY the HDMI audio is discovered by KDE, yet the Realtek 
device shows up in dmesg.
